"Half-bloods" is the term for the hybrid children of two different species, usually a human and a non-human. In the Burge, It is illegal for half-bloods to try and pass as a human.
It is unknown if there can be half-bloods from species other than humans, faeries, and fauns.
Half-fae[]
The faeries of Anoun used to possess a seven-hundred-year-old manuscript that spoke of the romance between the first human in Tirnanoc and a faerie queen, which resulted in a half-fae child.
One known living half-fae is Rycroft Philostrate, the son of Aisling Querelle (a fae) and Absalom Breakspear (a human) and one of the main protagonists of Carnival Row.
